Truly Green came about as a cooking concept as a result of Tom cooking dinners for an elderly neighbour who is no longer able to cook for herself and wasn’t enjoying the ready meals available to her.

Yvonne says about Tom’s meals “Tom’s meals are marvellous!  It is so nice for me to know I can have a lovely home-cooked meal every day. Worth every penny”.

Tom then started getting requests from family and friends who are too busy to cook for themselves but want to have healthy meals.  The list then grew into other people who “can’t cook” or “won’t cook”.

Beck says “Love that I can still enjoy home-cooked meals, knowing I am eating healthily without all the effort”.

Tom and Kathy see a nutrional therapist for their own health reasons (http://www.vitalitylifestyleformula.com/) .  The advice Kerry provides, for most people, involves looking at their diet and lifestyle and part of this is encouraging them to cook with more natural ingredients and avoiding chemically laden processed foods as much as possible.  Some people who don’t have the skills or the time to do this struggle with the concept of home cooking but recognise the importance of having healthy, nutritional meals to achieve optimum health.  Many of Kerry’s clients expressed an interest in Tom’s cooking….

… so Truly Green was born!

Tom Green is an experienced chef having worked in a variety of kitchens over the last 25 years.  He first started cooking when he was 8 years old in the kitchen of a private school, where his father was the head chef.  His father made a special box for him to stand on so he could reach into the large butler sink so he could learn how to wash up properly (!) and the first dish he cooked was Welsh Cakes for 200 school girls.

His passion now is cooking, using the best ingredients available, to create wholesome home cooked food that everyone can enjoy.
